Hello!

My name is Ellie Fisher and i'm so glad you have decided to start your weaving journey.

I am a weaver by trade and i'm passionate about sustainable textiles and sharing my love of weaving through teaching.

I have both a BA in Textile Design, specialising in woven textiles, and MA in Design for Textile Futures from Central St Martins College of Art and Design, graduating in 2006 to set up my weaving business.

I spent a large part of my childhood living abroad and travelling. The vibrant markets of the Middle and Far East triggered my passion for colour, texture and pattern and this influence is expressed through my textiles.

My business, ELKA, is a woven textile studio based in Hampshire, UK, where I produce bespoke handwoven textiles for fashion and furnishing alongside teaching.

I teach beginner through to advanced weaving on frame, table and floor looms.
